I just finished taking the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course. As promised, here is an honest review of the course from someone who has a long history of aversion to marketing.
As you know, so far our blog has been ad-free. I had concerns about adding any marketing and turning away readers. And affiliate marketing sounded “dirty,” like a scheme, but I realize now that I didn’t fully understand how it worked.
Then I found Michelle. Like me, she is an RVer who travels with her husband. Unlike me, she no longer has an employer.
Michelle didn’t push me into anything, either. We found each other on Instagram, and without her asking me to I checked out her blog (because I like to know who I’m following). It turned out to be very interesting reading. It had little to do with being an RVer and everything to do with how she started blogging and turned it into a career. Even though she knew nothing about making money through blogging, she figured out how to use it to pay off her student loans, quit her job and start traveling full-time.
Since Michelle did exactly what I want to do, it only made sense that I look further. I found her message authentic, her posts helpful and transparent. She was definitely on to something, and her 300,000+ subscribers proved that she was not turning away readers by using marketing. To me, that’s strong evidence!
I signed up for her course. Just like her blog, it was very helpful. She presented ideas that made me much more comfortable with the idea of affiliate marketing. I now believe that as a blogger, if you’re not earning money through affiliate marketing, then you are leaving money on the table.
Michelle earns over $50,000 a month (yes, per MONTH) through affiliate marketing, and she shares all of her best tips in this course.
In this course, there are 6 modules, over 30 lessons, over 20 worksheets, bonuses, an extremely helpful exclusive Facebook group, and more, and she goes through everything when it comes to affiliate marketing, such as:
- What affiliate marketing is and how it works
- Why affiliate marketing is great
- The exact steps she’s taken to earn over $300,000 from a single blog post
- How to pick the right affiliate products to promote
- How to increase conversions
- How to build trust and not lose followers
- Required disclosures that you need to know about
- The one major tool you need for affiliate marketing
- Different strategies to use to promote your affiliate products
- How to use Pinterest to succeed at affiliate marketing (yes, this includes the newest Pinterest affiliate rules!)
This stuff is all very new to me, but the course was worth every penny. There was so much good information, and detailed steps that I am going to take. In fact, I’ve already taken one of the first steps by becoming an affiliate of this course!
There will be lots more to come on this topic in the future, because I know I’m not the only one out there who wants to get out of debt and leave their job. In the meanwhile, check out Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing!
