What’s coming soon for us and the blog

Hi everyone! As you may have seen from Ryan’s recent post he’s decided to do a fitness challenge in October. We’ve both been feeling the strain of the fast-paced traveling we’ve been doing, as well as stress from things that have nothing to do with traveling. While we’re still getting in a decent amount of exercise and eating healthy foods, neither one of us is entirely happy with the consistency. Thanks to our upcoming trip to Las Vegas, we will be staying put for awhile and it will allow us to get back on track.

I’m able to look at data from the blog and see which posts attract the most interest. It seems to me that the information about food, exercise and health in general get the most interest. This is not surprising; who doesn’t want to see if they can pick up some new ideas about ways to improve their own health?

Well, we’re going to give you what you want.

I’m going to be doing my own October fitness challenge, designed by my very competent personal trainer husband (more details to come).
Here are some other things you can expect to see coming up:
  • Posts and videos of me doing some upgrades on my road bike (I’m completely new to any DIY maintenance beyond cleaning and oiling the chain and putting air in the tires!)
  • Updates from both Ryan and me about reaching our fitness goals
  • More posts for recipes
  • More fitness- and food-related updates on both Facebook and Instagram

And…

We know it’s hard sometimes to make even small changes to make your life better. We’re lucky to have each other for support and to cheer each other on. But maybe you want to make some changes and you’re doing it on your own. If you’d like some support, we’re going to be creating a Facebook group where you can post your intentions and have others cheer you on so you can reach your goals. Also, if you’re not certain what you want to do but want to do something, we’re happy to help you make your own plan, or maybe others in the group can give you some inspiration!

I’m going to get the group set up, so be on the lookout for information. Now would be a good time to subscribe to the blog to get all the updates. Also, we have about 20 videos so far on our YouTube channel. If you subscribe there you will be notified when any new videos are uploaded.

For those of you that aren’t interested in the health and fitness aspect of the blog, not to worry! We will of course continue to post updates and videos about our travels, the RV and our traveling life in general. There isn’t much going on at the moment as we’re staying in pretty isolated areas (and not necessarily in a scenic way). But there will be LOTS to see and do in Las Vegas.
